This course focuses on State and Local legal requirements associated with

leaking and abandoned underground heating oil and farm fuel tanks (USTs).  Storage tanks can present a real pitfall for home-sellers and liability for agents.  Come join us as we demystify this issue and better prepare you to represent your clients.

Instructor Information:

John S. Pollard is a Virginia Certified Professional Geologist and President of Pollard Environmental, LLC. He has over 20 years of consulting and contracting experience in underground petroleum storage tank compliance and environmental remediation. He received a B.S. in Earth Sciences from the University of Notre Dame and a M.S. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia. Mr. Pollard is a member of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists, and recently he served on a committee with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality for determining policy and procedures for responding to petroleum releases from residential heating oil tanks.

Registration will end three days prior to class

Classes with fewer than 8 people pre-registered may be cancelled

Agents missing more than 10 minutes of any CE/PL class can NOT receive credit

All CE, PL and Designation Courses are presented and processed by Four Pillars Education, Inc. a licensed real estate school in Virginia.

Education Elite Program Policies

  1. Registration is open till 3 days prior to the class, at which point there must be 8 people registered online in order to hold the class
  2. Anyone who registers but does not attend will be invoiced $10 to their agent account.  Exceptions will be case by case and will generally only be considered with true emergency issues.
  3. For Certifications, Designations and CE classes students must attend on time and remain in the class.  Anyone missing more than 10 minutes will not be able to receive credit for the course.  This is a DPOR regulation and not an internal policy.
  4. Classes that carry a fee do so to cover minimal program charges and royalties.  Cancellation and reimbursement requests will be granted up till one week prior to the class.
  5. Programs are sponsored by Coldwell Banker Elite and presented through Four Pillars Education, Inc.
